(a)
If double parallel solid yellow lines are in place, a person driving a vehicle shall not drive to the left of the lines, except as provided in subdivision (b) or Section 21460.5.
(b)
A person may drive to the left of double parallel solid yellow lines when: (1) The person is making a left turn into or from an alley, private road, or driveway; (2) The person is in a business or residence district and is making a U-turn at an intersection as permitted under Section 22102 or 22103; or (3) Otherwise directed by official traffic control devices or a traffic officer.
